SINCE 2009, The Ottawa International Film Festival (OIFF) has been evolving into a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that actively advances the work of creative minds from all corners of the world.
OIFF isn’t without meager beginnings, starting off as an afternoon show in Jack Purcell Community Centre and growing into the festival it is today. Working with full partnership and support from Ottawa Festivals and The Ottawa Film Office, and with support from the Ottawa community, OIFF has risen to become a highly regarded open platform for filmmakers to showcase their stories.
OIFF delivers year-round activities in which filmmakers can participate, providing an ongoing support system for the development of original stories for the screen.
OIFF remains committed to its mission of developing and promoting independent artists, encouraging filmmakers to continue to live outside the box, and engaging audiences through creative and innovative event planning.
